For my exhibition, I wanted to show the work that I have done on the side-line to my project which also stimulated ideas and inspiration for my project at the moment. Being fascinated by the technique of watercolours bleeding and blurring lines which create marks that would be impossible to make with a normal brush. I found these watercolour blooms mesmerising to watch and create beautiful burst of colour on the paper, and especially beautiful gradients in which one colour turns gradually into another that has been previously placed which is prominent throughout my pieces. These postcards I found satisfying to make as well as being aesthetically pleasing and has created a hobby for me whilst dealing with restrictions placed because of COVID-19 and a way to send people snippets of my artwork.
